Texas has long been home to some of the nation's most established regional Shakespeare companies, with the Texas Shakespeare Festival in Kilgore anchoring a statewide network of professional and community theaters dedicated to the playwright's works. In 2026, these companies are mounting an exciting slate of productions across the state, from intimate performances in Austin and Dallas to larger festival productions in Houston and Kilgore. Whether you're looking to catch a tragedy like Macbeth, a comedy like Twelfth Night, or something in between, this guide will help you find Shakespeare performances near you throughout Texas this year.
