About
Camden Shakespeare Festival's 2026 production of The Tempest, staged outdoors at the Camden Amphitheatre behind the Camden Public Library at 55 Main Street in Camden, Maine. Shakespeare's late romance of magic, exile, and reconciliation — the sorcerer Prospero and his daughter Miranda conjure a storm to shipwreck their enemies on a remote island. The festival is a professional non-profit producing Shakespeare in association with the Camden Public Library; St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Chestnut Street serves as the rain venue. Runs July 15 through August 9, 2026.
