About
Jenn Thompson directs Macbeth for Hudson Valley Shakespeare from August 7 through October 3, 2027, set against the landscape of the Hudson Highlands. When three witches foretell Macbeth's rise to the Scottish throne, ambition becomes obsession, and spurred on by his wife he murders his king to claim the crown. Guilt gives way to paranoia and suspicion turns to slaughter as he discovers that seizing power and keeping it are different things.
